    Great video! I’m interested in writing about the Detroit folk music scene in the 1960s, and the Chessmate is certainly part of that. I’m also interested in places like the Retort, the Alcove Bar, the Raven Gallery, etc I attended U of D High, on 7 Mile, and went to the Chessmate a few times in the late 60s. Looking forward to exploring the DSC. Jim
